American international Shaw and Piacenza parted ways after which the Italian side currently remained without opposite hitters in the roster given that German Georg Grozer will be sidelined for a couple of weeks.
A 26-year-old player posted on social media reasons for leaving Piacenza, stressing that he has decided to finish his time in Italy and return to California due to health difficulties, both physical and mental.
“What my indoor volleyball future holds, I’m not sure. But one thing I’ve gotten straight is that there’s more to life for me than what’s on the court or in the weight room,“ Shaw added.
