There was an amazing performance to enjoy in Tehran this evening. Iran played one more amazing home game and dominated Polish team in four sets.

Now their dream of entering Final Six in Italy is pretty much half way there.

Poland coach, Stephane Antiga: “Iran deserved the victory as they played much better than us. I’m not happy with our performance and can’t say if we could have won the match. It was a good experience because of the amazing spectators. We hope we can play better in the second match.”

Iran coach, Slobodan Kovac: “Iranian spectators were amazing and the fans were like Iran’s 7th player.  Poland started the match very strong and at some times we didn’t know how to react but we made some tactical changes and started to play better as the match continued.”
