The Philippines secured the bronze medal in the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women by defeating Australia 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-7) at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum. Captain Julia De Guzman led the team to victory, saying, “This victory is all for the Filipino fans.” Australia put up a fight in the first set but couldn’t maintain momentum.
The Philippines improved from their previous 7th place finish, with sights set on the FIVB Challenger Cup in Manila from July 4-7, 2024.
