Vietnam retained their title at the 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women, defeating Kazakhstan in straight sets (25-20, 25-22, 25-22) at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen led the charge with 26 points. Despite Kazakhstan’s captain Sana Anarkulova’s strong performance, the team struggled to contain Nguyen’s offense and made costly errors, particularly in the third set.
With this victory, Vietnam secures their spot in the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup, set for July 4-7, 2024, in Manila, Philippines.
