The team coached by Bernardinho extended their unbeaten record to five games after sweeping Bauru in what supposed the be an exciting match of Round 5 of the 2019/20 Superliga Feminina regular season. Bauru players made as many as 15 errors more than rivals (28-13). How much the players of the visiting side lacked focus in the encounter shows the moment at 24-23 for Sesc in the first set. Bauru setter, one-time Olympic champion, Danielle Lins “Dani Lins” didn’t rotate well prior to her serve and gave away the point and a set to Sesc. Tandara Caixeta and Juciely Silva scored 11 points apiece for the leaders in the charts, with the latter serving 5 aces. As for Bauru, Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova put down 23 points, including 4 aces.

Round 5 brought one more derby. After losing the Paulista Championship title to São Paulo FC/Barueri, Osasco/Audax took the revenge on the state rivals and beat them by a 3-2 (25-23, 15-25, 17-25, 25-23, 10-15). Thus, Osasco maintained their unbeaten run to four games. Not even 30 points (62 attacks!) from LorenneTeixeira didn’t help Barueri. Serbian Ana Bjelica top-scored for the winning side with 14 points.
