The semifinals of the Copa Brasil feminina de vôlei 2020 were played in Jaraguá do Sul. A turnout of the audience was amazing as 8,927 fans attended both matches at the Arena Jaraguá, which was packed. At the end of the night, Praia and Sesc have achieved positive results.
Praia beat national champions and last year’s competition winners Itambé/Minas by a 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 25-27, 25-20) to continue the quest for the trophy which they never won before. This duel was a repeat of the last year’s decider. Thanks to 26 points from Dominican Brayelin Martínez, the team from Uberlândia scheduled the gold medal encounter with Sesc. Last time these 2 sides met in the Brazilian Cup final was in 2016. As for the Rio de Janeiro team, they swept Sesi Vôlei Bauru in the other semifinal by a 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-21).
