Dentil/Praia Clube beat Brasília Vôlei and achieved the second straight win in the 2020/21 Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season for women. A team from the Minas Gerais state prevailed, practically, without a real fight: 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-21) and now have six points to remain in the lead of the competition. Dominican Brayelin Martínez scored 14 points for Praia.
Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde (Tandara Caixeta 17 points, Camila Brait 89 % reception; 67 % excellent) had no problems to defeat Fluminense.
In the match of the only two teams that participated in all editions of Superliga (since the 1994/95 season), Itambé/Minas scored a hard-fought victory over Esporte Clube Pinheiros: 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 25-17). American Megan Easy top-scored the Belo Horizonte side with 17 points. Her compatriot Danielle Cuttino set up 5 blocks, while Priscila Daroit ’Pri Daroit’ had 74 % reception (63 % excellent).
São Paulo FC/Barueri is the fourth team with a perfect score after two rounds. They downed São José dos Pinhais/AIEL in four sets thanks to a blocking show (20 blocks) in which Kisy Cesário and Lorena Viezel stood out (5 blocks apiece). Lorrayna Marys was Barueri’s top scorer with 17 points, while Karina Barbosa made 78 % reception (44 % excellent).
