“We continue with eight players from last year. We want to maintain a base. I think Praia will do that again this year, adding more quality and competitiveness to the team to continue pursuing the goals that are more difficult and daring with each passing year” commented the coach.
The coach did not want to risk and say what would be his ideal team for next season, but replied:
“The ideal team is the national team, the Olympic champions” [laughs].
Spencer said the investments for this year has not been announced. Last season, the team worked with 2 million $ and, for now, it is difficult to measure how much it will be this year.
“I think if we could keep this group and add a couple of players of Brazilian national team level, of course it would be great for the project. We could play in a higher level an attract more fans.“
“The work was done well both from the technical committee as from the girls, everything worked. We had quality players although none of the Brazilian national team. For the coming seasons we will try to face everyone as equals without fearing the greatness of the opponent” said the coach.
