“Yes, now it’s a sweet taste. It’s not that bitter taste of losing a final again. We lost World League finals against Serbia so, for a moment I thought: ‘Is it going to be this way for another year?’ We arrived here, and as usually, we were discredited by others. We won the first two games, and it was ‘nothing more than our obligation’. We lost two games and some told us that we will not even qualify to fight for the medals, but then we beat France. We beat Argentina and then we were told we will not go through Russia. We did. And then they said that we will win silver again. We won gold! I dedicate this title to those who cheered for us not only in victory, but in defeat as well. They deserve our dedication and commitment on court,” said Wallace.
