Jovana Brakocevic Canzian led Budowlani Lodz to the win over the Hungarian team with 18 points. Agata Babitz added 12, while on the other side Nikoleta Perovic had 27 and Lucija Mlinar 23.
“We wanted to win this game like every other we play, but BÉKÉSCSABA played extremely well today. From the beginning, we didn’t play good volleyball as we lost the first set. After that, we managed to pick up the pace and walk away with the victory,” says Błażej Krzysztalowicz, head coach of Budowlani Lodz.
“We were well prepared against Budowlani and we had the home team advantage as over 1,000 spectators came to support us. We played well in the beginning, my players followed the tactic we had agreed upon and they were focused. After that, we lost control of the game and we tried hard but couldn’t manage to come back. I hope in Poland the result will be the same but that time for us,” says Mihály Kormos, head coach of Swietelsky Bekescsaba.
