CL M: Dinamo Moscow complete Round 3 with straight-set win over Tours

The Russian side Dinamo Moscow seized a hard-fought win over French champions Tours VB in the last Round 3 match of the 2019 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Men which ended in three sets but with each one being highly competitive until the very end, 3-0 (27-25, 26-24, 26-24).

The hosts Dinamo took advantage of as much as 9 errors of Tours players in the first set to maintain 3-4 point lead. It vanished at 23:20 when the French side scored 3 points in a row. Thanks to blocks of Ilya Vlasov and Romanas Shkulyavichus, Dinamo took 1-0 lead in sets.

The faith of the second set was determined at 24-24 when Tours libero Hubert Henno got a yellow card for protesting.

As for the third period, Tours middle blocker Barthélémy Chinenyeze did his best to extend the match to, at least, one more set, but Yuriy Berezhko had something else in his mind.

Romanas Shkulyavichus top scored Dinamo with 15 points while Dmitriy Shcherbinin made 7 kill blocks out of team’s total of 14 kill blocks. Latvian Hermans Egleskalns scored 18 points for Tours.

By beating Tours, Dinamo settled at the second place in Pool E with a 2-1 and 6 points while Tours have 1-2 and 3 points.
