Jastrzebski Wegiel made history by reaching the CEV Champions League match for the first time ever. Although they lost the second semifinal match against Halkbank Ankara 2-3, they won the home match 3-1, securing their spot in the title deciding match. Jastrzebski Wegiel had an excellent start, winning the first set, but Halkbank came back to win the next two sets. The fourth set was crucial, and Jastrzebski emerged victorious, booking their place in the final. The game was celebrated by over 3000 fans at the Sports and Entertainment Hall in Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
Halkbank Ankara had a bittersweet victory that marked the end of their journey in the Champions League this year. Thomas Jaeschke of Halkbank Ankara topped the charts with 22 points, while Tomasz Fornal of Jastrzebski Wegiel was named the MVP with 18 points.
Jastrzebski Wegiel will wait to find out their opponents for the trophy as Grupa Azoty Kedzierzyn-Kozle face Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia in a rematch. If Grupa Azoty Kedzierzyn-Kozle win two sets, the Super Finals in Turin will be between the two Polish teams.
