SSC Palmberg Schwerin put in a confident home performance beating Maritza Plovdiv 3–0 to strengthen their position in Pool E of the women’s Champions League.

Backed by a vocal crowd at the Palmberg Arena, SSC Palmberg Schwerin controlled the match from start to finish, taking the sets 25–20, 25–21 and 25–17. The victory marks Schwerin’s third win in the group and moves them closer to the knockout stage.
Maritza showed flashes of resistance, especially early in the second and third sets, but Schwerin’s consistency from the service line and efficiency in attack proved decisive. Outside hitter Leana Grozer led the way with 22 points and was named Most Valuable Player after a standout display that included six aces.
For Maritza Plovdiv, the loss leaves them with a tougher path ahead as the group stage enters its decisive phase. Despite moments of solid play, the Bulgarian side struggled to handle Schwerin’s pressure over the full match.
With week four now complete, Schwerin sit among the favourites to advance, while Maritza will need a strong response in their remaining fixtures to keep their hopes alive.
