SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys defeated UVC Holding Graz by a 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-17) to defend second place in the standings.
SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel are still on the heels of Amstetten as they swept UVC Weberzeile Ried im Innkreis with 16 points (4 kill blocks) from Latvian outside hitter Matīss Gabdulļins. The Pole Tomasz Rutecki notched 16 points as well, but for the losing side.
The decisive battle for the second place in the standings (the top spot seems unreachable as SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob have 10 and 11 points more than duo from Lower Austria) and thus a good starting position in the playoffs between Amstetten and Waldviertel will take place in four days.
