SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel will contest in the 2017/18 Austrian men’s volleyball championship DenizBank AG Volley League playoff finals against No.1 SK Posojilnica Aich/Dob.

No.2 SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel scored a hard-fought win against No.3 SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys in Game 4 of the 2017/18 Volley League playoff semifinals to claim the series by a 3-1 and advance to the finals.

Waldviertel needed four sets to break the resistance of their rivals on the road, partially 25-14, 25-27, 25-19, 25-22.

The Latvian Matīss Gabdulļins topped the winning side with 26 points. Dawid Siwczyk recorded 6 of 19 kill blocks that Waldviertel made as a team. Thomas Tröthann scored 21 points for Amstetten.

Posojilnica vs. Waldviertel best-of-seven playoff finals sets off on April 4.
