POL M: Skra come out ahead of Warszawa in big match to seize No.2 for playoffs

PGE Skra Bełchatów prevailed in the Polish men’s volleyball championship Plus Liga 2017/2018 derby against ONICO Warszawa.

Skra beat Warszawa in the big match of postponed Round 24 in Plus Liga 2017/2018 by a 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 21-25, 25-16) to secure No.2 for the playoffs for which exactly Warszawa were the biggest rivals. Three rounds before the end of the regular season, Skra made a 10-point gap compared to today’s opponents.

The captain Mariusz Wlazły topped Skra with 18 points, including 5 aces. Karol Kłos recorded 71% attack (10/14, 1 error, blocked once). In Warszawa, the Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev scored 16 points.
