You are probably wondering why we are saying Final Six, when we all know there is the second round to be played. If Poland get there with a 5-0 score, they will probably need one more win to advance to the Final Six, because of all of the victories from this round count in the second round…
In a game against Iran, Poland had a control in the first two sets, while in the third set they were trailing until the very end of the set (21-18), but with a 7-1 scoring run, they managed to make a turnaround!
Michal Kubiak was the best scorer with 12 points, while three more players ended the game with double digits: Nowakowski, Szalpuk, Kurek – 10 points each.
In Iran, Amir Ghafour had 17 points!
