“We played a really good match. It was different than what we expected. At the beginning, they were better than us in passing and attacking tactically. In the first two sets we were worried because we could not find the kind of plays that they used to show, and at the same time, we were losing. But then we were lucky and then we played better. Winning that last part in the second set gave us great power into the game and to trust in our capabilities,” says Minas Tenis Clube coach Stefano Lavarini.
Eczacibasi VitrA Istanbul coach Marco Aurelio Motta:
“We had good moments in the match, but they played better in block and defense. We had good moments. They played more stable and deserved the victory,” says Marco Aurelio, while Kim Yeon Koung said:
“We are upset because we came here to win the championship. Our opponents played block and defense really well.”
Recall that Minas won the game in five sets.
