The Brazil National Team has shown a great performance against Serbia on Day 7 of the 2021 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League in the Rimini bubble (Italy).
Brazil stormed past rejuvenated world and European champions Serbia in the first round on the third week of the 2021 Women’s VNL: 3-0 (25-12, 25-14, 25-13). Thus, the ‘Seleção’ added the sixth triumph to their account to stay in the top four in the charts. Interestingly, national teams of Brazil and Serbia met in the VNL 2021 for the second time in two days – first men and now women – and the South American sides prevailed on both occasions. Tonight, Tandara Caixeta was Brazil’s best scorer with 12 points. Gabriela Guimarães ‘Gabi’ made 85.7 % digs (12/14).
Poland turned around the match against Canada to take the third victory in the tournament. The team commanded by Jacek Nawrocki was on a verge of losing to the rival against which it was favorite on the paper as it trailed 0-2 in sets and by 4 in the third set. Malwina Smarzek led Poland with 23 points, while Martyna Łukasik made 6 blocks. Kiera Van Ryk highlighted Canada with 28 points. Jennifer Cross and Emily Maglio set up 4 blocks apiece.
