The head coach of the Turkish national team Giovanni Guidetti has commented on the game against Italy in the semifinals of VNL.
“Unfortunately, the match went as I expected. It went the way I saw it. I regret to state that; we are not at the level of Italy at the moment. We did everything we could do. We played two great sets. One of the parts where we were not good enough was simple mistakes. When they play well, it’s not enough for us to just play well. When we play well, they have to play a little worse. I’m talking about the current situation. We have to work hard. Everyone who supports us deserves to see the Turkish National Team on the podium. We will do everything we can to be on the podium for them tomorrow. We want to beat Serbia,” says Guidetti.
Turkey will try to win the bronze while Italy and Brazil will determine the winner of the Volleyball Nations League 2022.
