Germany made a strong start to 2026 Volleyball Nations League with a 3-1 win over host Canada, claiming a 28-26, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18 victory in Quebec City.

After splitting the opening two sets, Germany took control of the match with dominant displays in the third and fourth, finishing with a 100-87 advantage in total points.
Leana Grozer led the Germany with a match-high 24 points, while Emilia Weske added 15 and Lina Alsmeier contributed 14. Germany held the edge in attacks (62-54) and blocks (12-11), proving more efficient in the key moments to secure all three points.
Canada was paced by Alexa Gray’s 23 points and Kiera Van Ryk’s 16.
