This is what happens when you want to make a spectacle, which indoor volleyball game being played outdoors surely is, but don’t include all possible factors.

Nearly all players of both Brazilian and Canadian Men’s volleyball national teams appeared on the court at the opening match of the 2017 FIVB World League Final Six in Curitiba wearing long sleeves under their jerseys, or if you prefer – one-piece thermal underwear, while the members of a coaching staff of both teams had to put sweatsuits on themselves, some even jackets.

No further explanation on the weather conditions in „Arena da Baixada“ needed when you see Nalbert Bitencourt, one-time Olympic Games and World Championship winner…

During Brazil vs. Canada encounter there was about 14 degrees outside. At the beginning of France vs. USA match, the temperature was 10 degrees. Winter conditions. Not suitable for a volleyball match, even against the rules
