In the awarding ceremony in Nanjing, China, right after the final match between Brazil and Italy got finished, the FIVB has chosen a Dream Team of the tournament. There were two surprises, one on the setter position and the other one – the absence of Italy’s opposite Paola Egonu.
The member of the winning side Natália Pereira was named the Most Valuable Player and, of course, she has found her place in the 2017 Grand Prix lineup.
The Dream Team of the 2017 FIVB World Grand Prix:
Best Outside Hitters: Zhu Ting (CHN) and Natália Pereira (BRA)
Best Middle Blockers: Ana Beatriz Corrêa ’Bia’ (BRA) and Milena Rašić (SRB)
Best Libero: Monica De Gennaro (ITA)
Best Setter: Ding Xia (CHN)
Best Opposite: Tijana Bošković (SRB)

Why is there no prize money for them? Every male player from ‘Dream Team’ got this kind of big check… also whole team got another one. Did the China run out of paper or what?!
I was wondering about price money as well? Natalia proved once again why she`s the best.
Re: @Tyga
Really, is she the best? you must be a fan or relative of her. you can not be serious writing some stupidity like this.
There are at least 7 players ahead of her and during this Gran Prix, even other two players from Brazil deserved it way more than her.
Numbers don’t lie.
Re: @volleyball understand!
I`m a fan and you are a hater. Natlia MVP back to back, the only player in history to do so, and MVP in the Turkish League.. Keep hating on her. She`s the best.

Hater? really? So you are saying this Natalia deserved to be MVP in this tournament or in the whole season? I though the question was about being MVP on Grand Prix 2017, not in Turkish league or last year’s grand prix.
I’m totally not a hater. I’m about being right and fair to what is right and fair. Calm your emotions down before throwing again stupidity like the last two you wrote.
Again: NUMBERS DONT LIE. The player you are in love with, stayed on bench throughout the competition many times and had amazing spiking rates against Thailand and others. Take a look at the stats sheet.
