“It was strange at the beginning to play in front of almost empty hall. I didn’t get used to it in this country. I really like to play in Poland. It’s like my home, and I enjoy playing against Poland because they are a good team. We have to see what we did good tonight and what we didn’t do good. Konarski and Mika played really good, Bieniek also, they caused to us a lot of troubles. We have to analyze and to play our game against Serbia” says Toniutti for WorldofVolley.

You can say ‘thank you’ to polish federation who figured appalling ticket price. Booklet cost as much as f. ex. week holiday. Poland loves volleyball but this had to cause the protest. How we say in Poland: sly lose doubly. Polish federation should think about that.
@pool im also surprise that the polish fans didnt support their home team like they do in other games kinda sad tho polish volleyball slowly going down
@dee jae69 Going down? I don’t think so. As I said, suppoters are not a problem. They want to go to the match. Problem is a ticket price. Most of fans don’t have enough money for such expense. If in the next tournament cost will be lower, will be full in the hall. To be honest I think what if we advance to best four in weekend also will be full. Unfortunately. Even despite ticket price. We should boycott this tournament, but I think that people won’t hold and buy ticket despite that they wanted protest..
@dee jae69 ‘slowly going down’? And they won with France? Good joke. Supporters? Reason is that tickets are too expensive.
@pool Prices?
How much is a ticket?
@Neil the tickets, at least for the final games, were from PLN90 (the worst possible seats, up on the roof and furthest of the pitch) all the way to an astronomical 700PLN! that’s approx. 160€ or 175$. If you take that the average wage in Poland, which is about 1000€ … see the problem?
