SSC Palmberg Schwerin claimed important home victory by defeating German Cup winner VfB Suhl LOTTO Thüringen 3–0 (37–35, 25–13, 25–21) in Bundesliga women’s volleyball action at the Palmberg Arena.

The match opened with a tense and extended first set. Suhl started quickly, moving ahead 6–3, but Schwerin responded to take an 11–9 lead. The set remained tight down the stretch, tied at 20–20 and 23–23, before turning into a long battle of saved set points. Schwerin eventually edged the set 37–35, thrilling the home crowd.
The hosts took full control in the second set. A strong run of serves from Anne Hölzig helped Schwerin build a 12–6 advantage. With consistent attacking from Helena Jet Kok and Mia Kirchhoff, along with solid work at the net, Schwerin cruised to a 25–13 set win.
Suhl showed more resistance early in the third set and briefly led 3–1, but Schwerin quickly equalized. Blocks from Helena Kok and Marije Ten Brinke, combined with strong attacks by Gerritsen, helped Schwerin move ahead.
Suhl stayed within reach thanks to points from Brancuska and Foley, but a late service run by Marije Ten Brinke pushed Schwerin ahead 22–19. Helena Kok, later named the match MVP, finished the contest with a decisive attack to seal the 25–21 win.
