By beating the second seed P.A.O.K. in straight sets in Game 3 of the 2018/19 Volley League Pame Stoixima playoff finals, the top seed Olympiacos closed the series with a 3-0 to win the 29th national title, the second in a row.
PAOK have missed too many opportunities today. In all of the three sets, the Thessaloniki side had a comfortable advantage but failed to keep it: in the first set, P.A.O.K. were 20-17 ahead, in the second set 17-12 and in the third set 10-7.
The Canadian outside hitter Gavin Schmitt top-scored for Olympiacos in Game 3 with 20 points (4 aces) but the Dutch outside hitter Jeroen Rauwerdink was named MVP of the Championship. As for P.A.O.K, their best scorer in the last match of the season was the Dutch Niels Klapwijk with 20 points (5 aces).
