Panionios GSS has parted ways with head coach Dragan Nesic just two months after the club secured the first major trophy in its history.

The Athens-based team confirmed the decision, ending an 18-month tenure that included a landmark 3-2 victory over Olympiakos Piraeus in the Greek Super Cup final in December.
“After one and a half years of cooperation, our paths with coach Dragan Nesic are separating,” the club said in a statement, thanking him for his contribution to the team’s recent success.
Panionios currently sits third in the Greek A1 women’s league standings.

The club quickly appointed 37-year-old Turkish coach Yunus Ocal as Nesic’s replacement. Panionios enters the final stretch of the season aiming to remain in contention under new leadership.
