In another breathtaking tie break, another comeback victory for PIACENZA. The building was changed but not the result in game 2, with Rebecchi Nordmeccanica stretching the lead in the series to 2:0. Caprara‘s team will have the wonderful opportunity to make history once again in game 3 scheduled in PalaBanca on Thrusday. For its part, CONEGLIANO will have to win to keep on hoping, though PIACENZA has a serious claim on the title.
In the first two sets, Imoco was better, was good on the block and in the attack. From the third set, things have changed, Rebecchi focused mainly on the block (15 points in total, including 13 in the last three sets).
Meijners had a good game (20 points total), but at times she was even negative (first set she had 0 in 7 in attack), and with a solid Turlea, MVP award goes to Lucia Bosetti. She is the face of Rebecchi Nordmeccanica’s comeback. Devastating in the fourth set, good in the tie-break, Lucia gave security with sound attacks and blocks.
