“Player like Nikola with huge experience and impressive biography was missing from our team and as he is going to be available to play versus Trentino this weekend you will see how much he is going to change this team already”, said mr. Bazzoni, member of Verona borad.
“I’m happy to be here, Verona is a beautiful city and I will do my best to back up confidence gave to my by club and the fans. I love Italian Volleyball league and is one of the main reasons for me to come here. I never though much about the offer and almost accepted it in a minutes of time. Dante (Boninfante) and Mitja (Gašparini) are amazing players and I look forward to playing with them”, Nikola said.
Kovačević was member of Ural Ufa this season but with the financial problems it was only a matter of time when players start to leave the Russian club.
