The fourth round of Italy’s Serie A1 Tigotà volleyball league delivered excitement on Saturday, with victories for Firenze and Novara, both sweeping Pinerolo and Roma 3-0. The real highlight, however, was Chieri’s intense 3-2 win over Perugia. Despite Perugia’s resilient fight, especially in a nail-biting fourth set ending 32-30, Chieri emerged stronger in the tiebreak, closing 15-9.
Chieri’s Skinner shined with 31 points, earning MVP honors, while Gicquel added 25. Perugia’s standout Nemeth posted 26 points, supported by solid performances from Traballi and Gardini.
Firenze dominated Pinerolo, with MVP Malual scoring 24 points, while Novara’s Ishikawa also claimed MVP, tying Tolok’s 17 points against Roma, marking a powerful performance both offensively and defensively.
