Despite financial problems, Copra Ardelia Piacenza won an important away match in the second round of Italian Serie A1 against Vero Volley Monza which was their first victory in the championship.

Several dozen of Piacenza’s fans who arrived to Monza protested after the revelations of the club’s historic patron Guido Molinaroli on the lack of financial support by Ardelia group and Dario Ruggieri, the current majority shareholder.

Fans on the stands at PalaIper hall, displayed two banners that spoke for themselves. The first said “Out of the money or out of the balls” and it was addressed to Ruggieri. Then, there was another one: There’s no worth of monopoly money. In between, supporters sang “We don’t want you in Piacenza“.
