The Italian Anti-Doping Organization (NADO) announced that Cucine Lube Civitanova outside hitter Jiří Kovář was tested positive for illegal substance THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), also known as cannabis, after Game 5 of the 2017/18 SuperLega playoff finals against Sir Safety Conad Perugia. The athlete has been suspended as a precautionary measure.
Lube neither denied nor confirmed that their player was using the illegal substance.
„AS Volley Lube learned the news from the Anti-Doping Organization of the positive THC Metabolite findings of the player Jiří Kovář, submitted to control after Game 5 of Scudetto final in Perugia, with regret. We acknowledge the announcement of NADO Italy and reserve the right to comment on what happened when will come into possession of more details about the case,“ Lube published.
Although it does not necessarily mean that he took the illegal substance on purpose, Kovář made one of his best displays last season exactly in the above-mentioned Game 5 with 14 points, 65% attack.

Re: @Taco
yeah its true and its funny that people blame him for ‘doping’ when it doesn’t have any influence on his game/shape/ etc
