KOR M: Jumbos earn last remaining playoff berth, will fight for No.2 with Bluefangs

Incheon Korean Air Jumbos secured their playoff berth in the Korean men’s volleyball championship – the 2017-2018 Dodram Variety League (V-League).

Incheon Korean Air Jumbos defeated titleholders Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers in four sets in Round 34, partially 25-21, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17, to claim the playoff position, two rounds before the end of the regular stage. By scoring the win, Jumbos moved up to No.2 (22-12; 60 points) for which they will fight with Daejeon Samsung Fire & Marine Bluefangs (22-12; 58 points) in the continuation of the regular season. The second-placed side will have the home-court advantage in the playoff semifinals over No.3.

As for the Skywalkers, they snatched the top-seed in the previous round and earned an automatic berth to the finals.

The Slovenian Mitja Gasparini topped Jumbos with 23 points. Heo Su-Bong scored 15 points for the Skywalkers, who played without their best scorer Moon Sung-Min.
