The reigning V.League champions Panasonic Panthers improved their record in the Final 6 to 3-1 and 14 points to become the owner of an automatic ticket for the playoff finals. They achieve it by beating JT Thunders at home in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-13). The Panthers were led by Pole Michał Kubiak who notched 15 points. Australian opposite hitter Thomas Edgar scored 21 points for the losing side who remained fourth in the standings and will fight with current No.2 Toray Arrows and No.3 Suntory Sunbirds for the place in the semifinals.
The last two teams mentioned have played each other today with Toray being more successful – 3-1 thanks to the attacking explosion of Aung Thu. Myanmar national team outside hitter scored 27 points. The most prominent player in the squad of the Sunbirds was Russian giant Dmitriy Muserskiy who finished the match with 27 points as well.
