Guangdong
The famous Russian player Tatyana Kosheleva led four Guangdong’s players in double digits in the 3-2 win against Jiangsu valid for Round 3 of the 2019/20 Super League – Top 8. She poured in 25 points to keep her team’s perfect record in the second stage of the regular season (3-0). On the other hand, Jiangsu (one of the four unbeaten sides in the preliminary stage) are still winless in the Top 8. Their player Zhang Changning was the best scorer of the game against Guangdong with 28 points, while Wang Chenyue made 7 kill blocks.
The champions Beijing suffered already second defeat in this stage of the competition
After beating Bayi on the road in four sets, Shanghai remained one of the two unbeaten sides both in the preliminary stage and Top 8. The other one is Tianjin. The vice-champions swept Liaoning even though they kept playing without their star player Zhu Ting (recovers from a wrist injury which she sustained at the FIVB Club World Championship).
