Békéscsabai hired an Azerbaijani player with significant international experience – Ekaterina Zhidkova.

A 31-year-old Ukrainian-born opposite hitter – but a member of the Azerbaijan National Team – has strengthened the five-time club champions of Hungary for the 2020/21 Extraliga playoffs, which will start soon. She was a free agent after parting ways with Turkey’s Sarıyer Bld. at the end of the last season.

Zhidkova, who signed an agreement with Békéscsabai until the end of the season, is a one-time winner of the CEV European League (with the Azerbaijan National Team), CEV Challenge Cup, Azerbaijani Championship, Romanian Championship, and Romanian Cup.
