By making the final of the national league, Knack and Noliko got the right to represent Belgium in the 2014 CEV Volleyball Champions League.

This past weekend the women’s national league also came to a close with VDK GENT Dames seizing the crown for the very first time after besting Asterix KIELDRECHT 3:1 in the third and last game of the final series. VDK GENT Dames mentor Stijn Morand was awarded as “coach of the year” while the other distinction at stake, for the “player of the year”, finally went to Sarah Smits of Asterix KIELDRECHT. VDK GENT Dames is currently evaluating the possibility to take up the spot available for Belgium to eventually become the first female club from this country competing in the CEV Volleyball Champions League
