Besides losing to Korea in Round 2, ’Oranje’ fans have another worry on their mind – Robin de Kruijf! The middle blocker and very imprortant player in the Dutch National Team got injured in the finish of the second set.
De Kruijf collided with her teammate Femke Stoltenborg on the net and twisted her right ankle while landing. The face of Giovanni Gudetti, head coach of The Netherlands, instantly turned pale.
It was a heavy fall after which De Kruijf did not return to the court.
