A 27-year-old receiver Ismaïl Moalla was the most deserving player in the Tunisian National Team for the title and he earned the MVP award. In the finals against the defending champions Egypt, he won crucial points for his side. And not only in the finals but throughout the entire tournament in which Tunisia did not suffer a single defeat in six matches. Besides being one of the best attackers, Moalla’s strong serves were also a key factor in all victories of his team, the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) reported on its website.

Moalla is currently a free agent after Fenerbahçe İstanbul from Turkey decided not to extend the contract with him.
