The regular-season winners ZAKSA advanced to the 2020/21 Polish Men’s PlusLiga playoff semifinals.
For the second time in the quarterfinal series, the 8th-seed Ślepsk took the opening set against the CEV Champions League finalists but succumbed in the continuation of the match. Partially, it was 20-25, 25-20, 25-21, and 25-21 in Game 2 for the team coached by Serbian Nikola Grbić. Łukasz Kaczmarek was the most deserving player for ZAKSA’s progression to the semis as he scored 21 points today. Kamil Semeniuk made 75 % reception (20 digs, 3 errors, 35 % perfect).
Jastrzębski Węgiel and PGE Skra Bełchatów secured progression to the top 4 yesterday. The series between VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa and Trefl Gdańsk is tied at 1-1.
