PGE Skra Bełchatów and the US Men’s Volleyball National team member Taylor Sander ended collaboration.
Through a press release, Skra announced they no longer count on American Sander. The Polish club underlined that the outside hitter didn’t come for the pre-season even though he got the call, the situation of which media reported earlier. Sander, after missing most of the last season due to physical problems, returned to the court in the season finale and subsequently participated in the VNL and the Olympic Games with his national team. At the beginning of the summer, he had expressed the desire to stay at Skra with which he had signed a new contract, which he failed to respect as he didn’t answer various calls from the PlusLiga team.
Skra have started legal proceedings to terminate the player’s contract. The Dutch-Italian outside hitter Dick Kooy will replace Sander.
