In a dramatic encounter during the 8th round of the TAURON Liga, the local team ITA TOOLS Stal Mielec faced a tough challenge against Energa MKS Kalisz. Despite a strong start leading 2-0, Stal Mielec couldn’t maintain their momentum, ultimately losing 2-3 to Kalisz in a nail-biting finish (25-22, 25-17, 21-25, 24-26, 9-15).
The match was marked by standout individual performances. For Stal Mielec, Gierszewska led with a remarkable 32 points. She was well-supported by teammates Mucha, who contributed 14 points, and Bryda with 13 points. Despite these efforts, it was not enough to secure a win.
On the Kalisz side, the game saw a balanced attack with Rasińska, who was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), and Drużkowska both scoring 22 points each. Fedorek’s contribution of 15 points also played a crucial role in their comeback victory.
In earlier game, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź emerged victorious against #VolleyWrocław in Wroclaw, sealing the match with a straight-set win of 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-22).
For #VolleyWrocław, Szczurowska led the scoring with 18 points, followed by Ponikowska with 11 and Stronias contributing 8. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t overcome the strong opposition.
On the ŁKS side, Gryka topped the score chart with 17 points, supported by Witowska’s 12 and Diouf’s 10.
