With significant roster changes, Mendez acknowledges that the team still needs time to fully gel but believes in their potential. Strong serving and consistent performance will be key as they aim for success in both domestic and international competitions this season.

On September 25, the Katowice Spodek will host the AL-KO Supercup, marking the first volleyball trophy of the 2024/2025 season. The event will feature a thrilling match between Polish champions Jastrzębski Węgiel and TAURON Polish Cup winners Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. The arena is already more than half full, with nearly 11,000 fans expected to witness this exciting clash.

This year’s showdown not only offers the first trophy of the season but will also feature several Olympic medalists from the Paris Games. Jastrzębski Węgiel boasts two gold medalists and three silver medalists, while Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie has an Olympic silver medalist and two bronze medalists in its ranks. Last year’s event saw a record crowd, and this year’s is poised to surpass it, promising a memorable start to the season.
