The wait is over for Polish volleyball fans—Bartosz Kurek is back. Head coach Nikola Grbić has named his 14-man squad for the upcoming FIVB Men’s World Championship in the Philippines, and the veteran opposite returns to lead the team alongside middle blocker Norbert Huber.
Poland will get one last tune-up at the 22nd Hubert Wagner Memorial before heading into the World Championship, which runs from September 12 to 28. Drawn into Group B, the White-and-Reds will face Romania, Qatar, and the Netherlands in the opening round. Only the top two teams will move on, where Poland could cross paths with Japan, Canada, Turkey, or Libya.
