According to the Polish portal Przegląd Sportowy, PGE Skra Bełchatów sent a preliminary proposal to be the host of this season's Champions League Final Four. Asseco Resovia also seeks the organization of the tournament.

Topic has appeared in a spontaneous conversation with one of the prominent members of CEV during World Championships, who mentioned the possibility that Final Four, for the fourth time, may come to Lodz. If that happened, PGE Skra Bełchatów would not participate in two rounds of the play-offs in PlusLiga.

“I know some will say that once again we are looking for a shortcut, but I’m not going to listen. After all, previous editions of the final tournaments were organized by Halkbank Ankara, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and Trentino. Since so powerful teams have benefited from that possibility, then we will not hesitate” – says PGE Skra Bełchatów president, Konrad Piechocki.

The final tournament is also a dream of Asseco Resovia’s management.

“We tried last season, but we lost the battle for the organization from Ankara. Why should not we try again?” – asked Asseco Resovia president Marek Panek.

So, is Polish battle for Final Four ready?

Of course Skra win. Skra can make even 1st place without organizing final four, because this squad giving clear guarantee. Maybe that’s why Polish national team players who play for Resovia refused nice gesture from Bełchatów… Honestly I want Resovia organizing final four and they will make bad result when Skra will win them like Jastrzębie last season in Rzeszów in fight for final four. 😀
