Leader of the Polish championship had the playful Serbian receiver Marko Ivović who scored 15 points, while the American middle blocker Russell Holmes added 13.
Ivović had a great percentage in the attack (74% of effectiveness), although Holmes was also good (70%), but the American created a wall on the net with 5 blocks.
In Ljubljana, Eric Mochalski was the only player with double digits – 11 points.
In Pool D, SK Posojilnica caused the upset by beating home team Friedrichshafen in tie-break although they were two sets down – 3-2 (23-25, 17-25, 26-24, 26-24, 15-13).
Surprisingly, Friedrichshafen did not manage to win a single game so far in Champions league, while Austrian vice champion has 1-1.
Peter Wohlfahrtstätter was the top scorer in Posojilnica with 15 points. Baptiste Geiler led Friedrichshafen with 19 points.
