Michal Winiarski did not play the last game in the Polish Championship in which his Skra suffered a defeat against AZS Olsztyn. No one was sure why the famous Polish player was not in the roster of his team… Then PGE Skra Belchatow released the official announcement. The news were not good.
Skra announced that Michal Winiarski has renewed back injury and that he will undergo a surgery next week. He will be sidelined for at least three months, which means that this season is over for him.
Recall that Winiarski suffered back injury at the pre-season tournament in London, due to which he had to skip some games at the start of the PlusLiga. Still, he has recently returned on court and it seemed that he was fully recovered… Unfortunately, it was not the case. The injury came back and the only option was surgery.
