WAGNER MEMORIAL: Two tie-breaks at opening – Serbia victorious, Bulgaria upset Poland

Serbia and Bulgaria opened „Memorial of Hubert Jerzy Wagner“ in Poland with tie-break wins.

In the game which set off the prestigious tournament, which was this year hosted by Kraków, Serbia defeated Belgium 3-2 (25-22, 16-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-12) but the outcome could easily be different.

In the other match, in front of a packed stands of „Tauron Arena“, Bulgaria caused upset by downing the hosts and defending champions Poland 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 25-21, 24-26, 15-12).

In Round 2, Serbia will face Bulgaria (17:30 CET) while Poland is going to play against Belgium (20:30 CET).
