President of the Polish powerhouse, Dariusz Gadomski, revealed for “Dziennik Bałtycki” that the club is offering a new two-year contract to Anastasi.
“Yes, we are talking with the coach (Anastasi) on the new agreement. We are close to reach an agreement. We like the coach very much. He fits our training conditions, life in our region. He always stresses that he feels great in Gdańsk,” Trefl chairman stated.
Anastasi has been coaching Trefl since 2014 and won, among other medals, the silver in the PlusLiga. He is one of the most recognized volleyball coaches in Poland whose popularity in this country began five years ago when he was at the helm of men’s national team.
Anastasi’s contract with Trefl expires at the end of next season.
