He is no longer at helm of the Polish Men’s Volleyball National Team, but the opinion of Stéphane Antiga is highly respected in Poland. The French expert shared his thoughts on the candidates for the Polish NT head coach but also explained next steps in his career.

“It’s hard to say, because I worked only with Méndez. He was my coach in Mallorca, when I played there from 2004 to 2007. The others are certainly good coaches, but don’t know how they work. The results speak for them, but it it’s similar with Marcelo… I know that De Giorgi is doing a great job in Zaksa. I talked with the guys from Zaksa and they all praise him. He has the knowledge, intuition and is able to reach the players,” Antiga talked to “Przegląd Sportowy” about candidates to replace him on the bench of Polish NT.

About the offer from the Canadian Federation that appeared in some media…

“It wasn’t anything specific. I don’t feel a rush that I quickly need to find a new team… I live with my family in Warsaw, but if I get an interesting offer to take some national team, I would be happy to accept it. And if not national team, then a club either in Poland or abroad, though I don’t want to work somewhere where I can’t create the team by myself,” French coach added.
